Message: An extraordinary experience in a beautiful home on Whitaker and Liberty. We were graciously welcomed at the car by a delightful Miss Alice as we parked behind a grand wall crowned with pomegranates that fortifies a stunning courtyard filled with flowers and a lion head fountain that trickles peacefully into a serene koi pond. Miss Alice cheerfully lead us up the brilliant white courtyard staircase to the main level veranda and through a back door to this quant home. She gave us the grand tour of the extravagant decor and period set living spaces just before introducing us to Dr. Albert Wall, the owner of this fine establishment. His demeanor is as refined as it is gracious. He personally served us each morning with a smile and a story of the food and the town. Truly a relaxing and magical time!

Message: The entire experience- from the home, the antiques, to the innkeeper Dr. Wall, the southern breakfasts prepared daily- is truly a gem. Dr. Wall is one of the most interesting, enthusiastic, and warm individuals I’ve ever met. As you eat your delicious breakfast in the wonderfully furnished dining room using antique silverware, Dr. Wall will tell you all about the history of the foods he’s prepared and about the furniture around the house. I felt as if I had stepped back in time. The house is also in an ideal location. Most sites were within walking distance. I would love to return to Savannah and stay at the Stephen Williams house again. I highly recommend!

Message: We loved staying with family here. We were treated to true Southern hospitality by Dr. Wall who not only owns this lovely bed and breakfast but also is a lively, lovely host with the most historical knowledge, funny jokes, and cooks amazing low country breakfast like I never had before in my life. Something different everyday, I loved the pralines pecan French toast and sausages, another day was a breakfast casserole southern wedding style, finally a blueberry sweetbread and baked grapefruit madiera. Low country delights! We learned so much during just 4 days and 3 nights here. Our accommodations were rich in beautiful furnishings, rich colors from the bed to the window curtains. Unique pieces of antiques. He owns all his furnishings himself and sitting to read a book while hearing soft southern, jazz piano music in the background was divine. We felt right at home, this home defines Savannah and its richness and the old times. The staff was always keeping everything clean, kept and our room was sparkling clean. They turn down the beds for you at night and leave chocolates. The fountains outside are wonderful to sit and relax in front of before or after a day out in Savannah, the porch is just perfect setting. I will never forget Albert. (Dr. Wall. )our dearest, sweetest time travel stay in Savannah.

Message: The Stephen Williams house was amazing, perfect location to downtown, the house was beautiful, and our room was very clean. Dr. Wall was a fabulous host and a fabulous cook, as he made all house guests breakfast in the morning. He even showed me the recipe for praline french toast. Its perfect for a trip alone or for two. 10/10 can't wait to go back- i would feel wrong staying anywhere else on my next trip. Parking was also easy.
