Courtyard by Marriott - Savannah Downtown/Historic District

Message: The location was great for us in terms of where we wanted to be in the city, however it was by a busy road and there are a few drag racers every night.. obviously that's not the hotel's fault but something to consider. There are two great coffee shops super close by and the parking garage across the street is a very cheap alternative to the valet service. The hotel service was okay, we had four people in our room and only 3 towels, so we requested one that never came. Had to walk to the front desk for it. That was our only service "issue. " Our rooms were clean, no complaints there. We did not use the pool so I cannot comment on that. But the main reason for the 3 stars is the mattresses were hard as a rock! They weren't lumpy or anything, just so so firm. (I just saw someone else's review that their mattress was too soft so I guess there's a wild inconsistency there with what mattress you're gonna get. Maybe we should have requested a new room to see if another mattress might be better but I didn't consider that at the time. ) Anyway I did not sleep well for the duration of our stay. Just overall not a 5-star stay for me if I can't sleep well.

Message: I want to preference this by saying that the staff was great and the hotel, rooms are clean and nicley decorated. That being said, the hotel does not isolate the outside noise at all. We had a front facing room, and the amount of noise was as if we were actually outside. There are no end tables on the outside of by the beds in a double room. The bed was way too soft and our feet were above our heads, maybe time for me mattresses? The shower had the shampoo dispensers in the side wall which I kept hitting, why not have them on the end? The TV was odd. The actual channel and the guide were out of sync, so if the guide showed channel 39, you were actually on channel 35. The bar is not really a bar, has a very limited selection, and only 1 person serving and tending.

Message: The Front Desk clerk and the Valet drivers were great! Friendly and extremely helpful. Room was nice and clean. Bed was comfortable. Would go out of my way to stay here again.

Message: The location in my mind was not great for walkability. You have to drive places. The hotel is dates and needs a renovation. The bed was comfortable, the rooms would use more cleaning. I think the rooms could be even more comfortable with a deep cleaning. The trim was dirty, the night table had something sticky I could wipe down with sanitized wipes. With just a little more attention to detail, there could be much improvement.

Message: Check-in was good. The room was nice but could have used some better cleaning as there were several palmetto bugs dead under the desk and by the sofa. The hotel does not have parking. There is a valet service that's 35$ a night. Otherwise, it's a great location and would totally recommend it.

Message: Kind of disappointed that this place did not offer a continental breakfast with the price we paid for our room. The hotel was clean, room was fair in cleanliness however the couch in our room was gross with stains and looked dirty. The floors were not very clean either and hair in the shower and on the bathroom floor from prior guests was of some concern. Valet was great, super friendly and the staff at the front desk was also very nice and helpful. The outdoor seating area and pool were both very well kept and a very nice evening activity. Location was good, only about a 10 min walk to Broughton and River about 15-20. Close to the main highway and gas stations near by.

Message: This is the best courtyard we have ever stayed. The staff is amazing! Sky at the front desk was so helpful and caring. We arrived late and needed help with preparing dinner for our kids who are competing in a gymnastics meet. The service made us feel like we were at home. Sky even made them a cute card wishing them luck at their meet ❤️.
