Message: This was an amazing opportunity for laughing and learning for our students. The 4-H coinselors were highly knowledgeable in all classes that were taught and very polite. They struck the perfect balance of keeping all of the kids engaged while also maintaining full control over the classroom, even if it was outside and full of distractions, as most were.. All of the facilities were clean, fully functional, and comfortable, and the cafeteria meals were well planned and prepared. Dietary needs were also accommodated, which isn't always easy.. The Burton 4-H counselors and staff should know they made a lasting impact on these kids. You know you've done something right when a dorm full of middle-schoolers goes to sleep talking about their favorite classes and experiences during the day.. I hope our school is able to repeat this adventure soon.

Message: Excellent staff, classes, and experiences! My students loved going to the beaches, salt water marshes, and maritime forests. I highly suggest the shark dissection! We dissected squid too. The meals are kid oriented, but edible. Dorms are cramped and offer no privacy. Be prepared with LOTS of bug spray and sunscreen. Extra adults made the trip better.

Message: I visited here in the 8th grade for a school trip and fell in love with this place! I've visited since moving to the area and it's just like I remember. Terrific place for kids/ young adults to visit. Beautiful grounds, very clean spacious dorms. Excellent counselors and classes. Very knowledgeable & friendly staff. If your child has an opportunity to come, definitely send them! Wonderful memories to be made here!

Message: The Airforce sponsored a mini camp for Airforce service members kids. Our girls had a blast and learned a lot. Loved the hands on experiences. They wished it could have been longer. The raved of the camp leaders, especially Shawnee and Kaycie. They are looking forward to next year.

Message: Burton 4-H Center is awesome. We visited for 3 days, kids had no electronics of any sort which was great. They were mentally and physically active all day with different activities and tours. Our visit was fun and very educational. Big Thanks to Gator, Otter, Hannah and the rest of the crew for doing such a great job. Big Thanks to our vessel Chaptain of the MONSTER during our dolphin tour.

Message: I enjoyed staying at the 4H center with my students. The dorms and food weren't the best. But, the classes were amazing. I really enjoyed the staff and how knowledgeable they were.. Seeing the animals and being about to learn about them with a hands on approach was unforgettable! I loved how the students had kitchen patrol. I felt very comfortable staying here and being able to let my students explore and learn was amazing! Thanks for the campfire story! It was definitely an interesting and interactive one!
